Hills teenager Casey struts her stuff at prestigious Mercedes Benz Fashion Show

TEENAGER Casey Caroline Matthews is one of the hottest new models in Australia, being one of the faces at the high profile Mercedes Fashion Week.

You would have already seen the 180cm tall Beaumont Hills local strutting her stuff of the new Myer Denim 360 advertising campaign in Sydney recently.

Ms Matthews’ dream job began when she took part as a 15-year-old in the Girlfriend Model state finals and was spotted by one of the judges, who was an agent for IMG.

The former Kellyville High School drama student’s modelling career took off when IMG first offered a part-time contract before changing it to full time.

Now this 19 year-old beauty is making the fashion world sit up and take notice, but taking one step at a time.

“It’s been amazing and I really enjoyed being part of the Mercedes Fashion Week,” Ms Matthews said.

“It’s been incredible and such a rush, being there in front of hundreds of people, including top names in the industry.

“The Mercedes Benz fashion event has been my best experience while my campaign for Myers is my biggest so far.

“I now keep seeing my photos popping up everywhere and it’s really weird.

“I even took pictures next to one of them at Pitt Street in Sydney.”
Ms Matthews will shortly travel to Paris to do a shoot for IMG and says she can’t believe how her career has gone so far.

“I am ecstatic about going to Paris though I have had no real training so far,” Ms Matthews said.


“We get thrown into the deep end but it’s been amazing time

“My family has always backed me up saying my height is right for modelling.

“My first competition was entering the Miss Girlfriend event in 2013 and it’s hard to believe how it has gone so far for me.”
