Wow, a new low for Celine and Hedi. This campaign highlights how unoriginal and basic the clothes really are when removed from the context of the French castle and the original presentation.

How on earth is Celine still going strong? Genuine question. Are they making less or more money under Hedi? Because the LVMH quarterly conferences only address Celine's "success" very vaguely and mysteriously, for example:

"Celine’s ready-to-wear and leather goods collections created by Hedi Slimane were hugely successful."

I'm so out of the loop I hadn't noticed the existence of this woman till very recently and after seeing her recent editorial work plus this campaign...I can only hope she isn't staying around much longer...

Hedi's captive audience of too-cool-for-school posers kept the brand alive for a while but now it seems LVMH's very insistent marketing has done its work and I'm starting to fear what more he has in store for us!
