Is Celine by Hedi Slimane still a thing? Seriously LVMH, stop trying to make it happen, it's not going to happen. It's been three years and he still hasn't done anything relevant or interesting. This campaign looks like some kind of cheap, diffusion line to Saint Laurent, which love or hate, consistently has much more interesting and dynamic creative expressions with Vaccarello at the helm.
The collection was already uninspired...but the campaign takes this to brain-death levels of dull and pedestrian.
She looks like a very pretentious influencer who sometimes posts pictures of the Simone de Beauvoir books she got at a second-hand bookstore, stacked over her tasteful Jean Prouvé furniture...

I'd argue those people would prefer Jacquemus, and we all know that de Beauvoir book is the only thing that is truly hers. Prouvé furniture would either be a picture from the net or found somewhere else to take a photo with (a friend, a family member, a hotel, or a furniture store). Her boyfriend is also an urbanist or an architecture enthusiast, who loves Le Corbusier.
Slimane's black and white photography is just so sleek and crisp that I'm like a moth to a flame and the colouring in the campaign image from #1 is just... sublime. Never minded Kaia Gerber's presence within the world of fashion/modeling and she's giving a nonchalance here that just works perfectly.
