I love his work, I love his work, I love his work but he's suffering from the Narcisso Syndrome--same thing, same thing, same thing. They've got to push themselves. Fashion seems to be the only industry on the planet where you can do the same thing after the same thing after the same thing.

That is so true...Look at the hair and makeup, nothing new or exciting there.

i though you had mistakenly posted photos from the fw 2004 show... i totally agree with birdofparadise

its really a bit boring, he's been following the same 'recipe' for seasons now, he absolutely needs some evolution , be it fabrics, detailing or shapes..

i dont mind hair and make up being thee same but the clothes just started to look dated this time around.. of course he and his team had problems and the collection shows that. i'll be patient with Rucci, he's one of my fave american designers

thanks for the topic and the pictures :flower:

I agree with you Lena, although it seems like this season would be a time when his clothes were very relevant with some of the more architectural influences going around NY.

Two immaculate collections. These pieces are laced with detail and individuality.

I think the rtw part of this show is better than the couture part, though I love both. When you compare the couture with previous couture than this indeed looks like a repeted theme. It's quite mediocre, but it's still gorgeous. The rtw is really my thing. It's one of the best this Olympus fashion week. But one downpoint: the furs are very ugly. Just as horrid as in the J-Lo show.... well, almost then :p

I love the shapes of his pieces. I really don't understand why his work doesn't get more attention.

I love Rucci, he has an excellent sense of silhouettes (a big part of true fashion IMO) he also has a great sense of color and his clothes are just so very elegant.

He has to push himself to keep from becoming an Armani, he needs to really shock the crap out of people whether it be with a fresh proportion, or just insane technique that makes Galliano look like a tailor at Men's Warehouse, Ive heard that Rucci is an excellent Couturier, he should show it off.
