Chanel 'Coco Neige' 2021 : Jennie by Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin

Trashy, cheap, and an embarrassing [and blatant] attempt to seduce the K-POP fans into buying Chanel cosmetics and perfumes. Let's be honest, 99% of Blackpink followers are not going to be buying RTW, and Chanel knows that perfectly well.

Besides this seems so inauthentic. At least with the other ambassadors they have a kind of more established relationship and ongoing dialogue with the brand and with the history of Chanel. When you hear them speak and when they are interviewed, they have something of actual merit to say and communicate.

I actually see a lot of comments from the "blinks" about wanting Jennie to work with another brand as they hate the clothes on her & don't think the brand uses her enough in campaigns lol

Nothing but a cheap cash grab. She's not high fashion material and never will be, thank you, next.

It doesn't seem to me like they were going for "high fashion" with this..... look. And I certainly wouldn't say she's to blame for that. The clothes are a goddamn travesty and frankly I can't think of anyone that would make them desirable.

This is terrible, this isnt 'chanel' at all.

I think she can be, if utilized in the proper format. This, however, isn't meant to be high-fashion. Even Kate Moss herself would make this look tacky.

I don’t mind Jennie for Chanel. They had Lily Allen so, why not?
And what is interesting with Chanel is that they generally follow their spokeswomen through their careers.

I’m quite appalled by the clothes and the photography that gives Lizzo by Hype Williams vibes.

Everything from the neck up is stunning. The rest, which is all Virginie’s duty is a disaster.

I think this is pretty decent actually. I don't understand the aversion.

I'm also left unoffended by the campaign images and don't mind Jennie as the face of Chanel. Once again, Inez & Vinoodh are proving themselves to be the perfect Chanel campaign photographers. The art direction is nothing short of flawless.

I'm not impressed at the fact this is Chanel. Don't mind Jennie being an ambassador for Chanel seeing as current Chanel ambassadors are not my favorite.

God, these clothes are so hideous. The new images aren't quite as bad as the first one posted, at least.

it looks amazing in print so credit given when credit is due.
this ad is obviously for the East Asian market and it will be effective, I’m pretty sure.

the shots are incredible IMO despite the clothes…

Same for me, the photography is there, I don't think Jennie as a choice is too bad. But I really don't like the clothing for the most part, some of just flat out isn't 'Chanel', and the other just doesnt looks good to me.
