She's German, she looks like Lara/Brigitte and she's currently a popular model. Karl is always a follower and is very predictable so i'm not surprised.

I love the pictures, very classic Chanel. One of the best ads in this dreadful campaign season.
Just not a fan of the cast. Who still cares about Lindsey?

Don't forget Claudia Schiffer...
It' a great campaign! Both Anna and Lindsey looks superbe.

That was actually my first thought as well. She's worked on quite a few campaigns with Karl already, allegedly one of 2014's top earning models, boasts with print work which any model would envy and yet I'm still so indifferent.

there was a generation of members here big on stanning (worshipping a specific handful of models, going all the way against what doesn't feature that model), they've matured a little over their years here but yeah it's still king of annoying, though I find it more annoying when it's always the same person opposing models of say, dark skin (so rural..), but I just scroll faster. They're here for the models, not fashion so no point in even reading that.

Anyway this looks like another example of black and white gone wrong (and we're talking about the easiest thing to do right?), I always thought Karl excelled at capturing the gloaming or cloudy locations, he should try that more often.

I am actually surprised to see Lindsey, it seems Karl and Vogue Japan are the only ones that remember her agent's number.

This is the first Chanel campaign that I've liked in quite a while. I'm surprised it took Karl this long to work with Anna for Chanel since I get major Claudia vibes from her.

Anna is perfect for Chanel, very beautiful and like a Claudia Schiffer who Karl adores. While both girls are incredibly stunning and completely blow Kendall and Lily in the Fendi campaign away, I wish he would have used a location setting, like a cafe just like the runway setting. It would have captured the elegant essence of the clothes. I always feel Karl's strongest photos are in location settings and not a studio setting.

Finally a decent Chanel campaign, and finally Anna got it!!
I'm glad she and Lindsey are part of this. The shots are lovely, I love that vintage vibe, can't wait for more.

About Lindsey: I'm not surprised to see her, she is for Chanel/Karl what Karmen Pedaru is for Michael Kors, Julia Hafstroem for Tommy Hilfiger, mariacarla Boscono for Givenchy/Riccardo Tisci, Anja Rubik for Anthony Vaccarello and so on.

I think it was styled by Carine Roitfeld - that makes sense because it kind of reminds me of the 'Little Black Jacket' pictures.

But still she's not as popular as Kendull or Cara. Karl seems to like girls with plenty of followers on instagram now, this is the reason why I'm surprised with Anna because I don't get the same vibe from her and Kendull for example. And to my mind Anna is more connected to Alexander Wang. But I'll get used to her work for Chanel and less shocked quickly.

there were a few girls who got two looks in the show and i think the campaign would have suited all of them really well- anna, ondria, sam r, nadja, and ashleigh (minus cara and kendall who don't fit). i think this is one of the best chanel campaigns in a long time though, and my favorite collection since fw13.

You are just loving this because of the "classic" Chanel image and the non-instagram (=no kendall, Cara) models.
I didn't know he loved Lindsey so much. Yes, she was his bride for couture some seasons ago and she is always in his shows but as she is not so much talked about...

Anna Ewers makes perfect sense here: she is German, loved by Carine, Christiane and Babeth. All three of them are close to Karl.
She is a perfect Chanel girl.

This ad reminds me of Karen Elson's Chanel ads. Fall 1997 i think.

I love this more classy (some would say boring) aesthetic for Chanel. It's almost funny to see Chanel one year ago and Chanel now. We were totally distrated by the settings and all but this is like a 180 turn! Like he did in the mid-90's.
