Vintage_princess.. a question.. how do you find your bag, for holding things you need onn a daily basic? Which model did you choose? What kind of chlothes does it go with/don't go with?

^ Around September first, but people in Canada and London are already getting theirs.

In London we have had ours for a few weeks, well us lucky once
Why is the advertising photos do the chain look silver and not gold? any idea.
I think I would like a vintage square now.

^ My idea is that the chain just photographs silverish instead of gold. When Vintage_Princess took a photo of her black purse, it looked more silver than gold but she assured us it's gold.

Slightly OT question. Does the original 2.55 comes with the double Cs or the mademoiselle lock?

i have to admit i really want the gray one. i like the leather-i like that it doesnt look "smooth" if you know what i mean.

"Original" as in the regular 2.55 flap bags that are in stores now, and have been before this reissue?! Those usally have CC locks. The "original original" as in the 1955 purse has the mademoiselle lock, at least I assume so because of why else would they repro it this way?

Oh I just realised that I do have a book on handbags, and I just flipped through it, and yes, Rhian, you're right. The original 1955 bag used the mademoiselle lock. Alas, the strap is the one that's used on the 2.55 now. Why the reissue uses the strap without the interlocking leather, hmm.

2.55 @ Chanel Exhibit

Here are the 2.55 photos from the chanel exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. There are 5 black 2.55 reissue bags in different sizes all lined up in the glass case. I can't wait till my grey reissue comes in !!

Wow, great pics everybody! I just hate it though when other people are going to come on here and steal the pictures we have all collected to post on other forums!

Anyway, Rhiann I dont mind you posting my pic again or I could take new ones if you want.

Pucci, The model I have is the medium one. I thought the small was too small for me. I know the 2.55 bags doesnt hold much anyway, but I can fit my bf's car stereo, my wallet a few bits and bobs (like make up) in the buttoned section and my phone. Thats all it will hold Basically just the very essentials.
I wore my bag with a knit cardigan, jeans and some flats..kinda casual but not too casual. I think it will go with anything apart from very baggy trousers or sneakers.
