Chanel Fall 05 2.55 Reissue Bag

With those eyes, it's too bag you couldn't have picked up your first re-issue in person as you would have seen the hole and not bought it. That's the problem when we have to resort to buying bags without seeing them first.

well, i didn't notice the hole initially because i was too busy trying to decide whether i wanted the black 225 or a grey 226. i spent lot of time trying both bags on my shoulders in front of the mirror, that's why i missed that tiny hole.....

but gals, thanks for all the kind words. i am still pretty optimistic though, since i am on like 5 waitlists and for the local NM, the assistant manager had told me next week the next shipment should arrive, so i am really hoping i will get this settled pretty soon.

hikarupanda, I just sent a 226 grey back, after my wonderful SA had hunted high and low for one so I "could try it". I sent it back to the Tampa NM, even though they don't normally carry Chanel. Maybe if you call there (ask for Clare) you can ask to be #1 on the list for that one. I don't think there were any flaws with it, I just didn't love the color on me. I love the black however.

Now, I'd love to see more photos of "petite" or slim women with the 227 so I can decide if I want to go bigger than the 226. So undecided!!! I've been holding up black pieces of 227-sized cardboard behind my 226 bag to try to see if the 227 would be a better size...and standing in front of the mirror squinting. Ugh.

I hope I can get it! I want the 226 - she told me early this morning that she'd start working on it - she's one of the Chanel specialists there - but I haven't heard back from her today, so I'm a little worried

don't worry, there's another shipment coming shortly, i think so you should be able to get your 226 soon it's a great size. i'm soooo jealous of my mom

yeah, i think most of us have the 226? i'm not sure what difference there is between it and the 227. i'm sure there was a pic of the 227 recently someone was wearing. i remember hermesfreak had both the 227 and 228 and there wasn't much size difference between them...

The only difference between the 226 and the 227 is an inch in width and an inch in height - so - if I can't get the 226 I suppose I could go with the 227 - my SA indicated she'll have the 227 in black in soon. Since I just got the 227 in white - I just thought I'd go for a different size in the black.

I saw a black 228 that was on hold for someone when I was at NM buying my white. It is very classy/classic looking; dressier than the other two colors - doesn't quite have the vintage look of the white or the gray IMO - but that is fine with me - will give me two distinctly different looks. (I CAN NOT believe how much $$$$$ I've spent on bags recently!!!!- GOTTA STOP (for a little while anyway )

You're definitely on a roll . I'm waiting for the re-issues to come in as well as a tweed which will be here on Wednesday . I seriously have to be done with buying bags for a while after these or my husband is going to give me the boot .

But if it's too 'grown up' and 'classy' ..formal.. than I might have to change my mind..

The Chanel is a one-shot this year only - so on that note, I would go with the Chanel. But the grey and white are definitely younger and edgier looking IMO.

i think the reissue can have a rock'n'roll edge...it depends on how you wear it I suppose...I think it'll look very edgy worn long with a clean crisp white shirt and extra long skinny jeans gathered at the ankle with a pair of 5" Louboutins and some chains around the belt loop

I agree with Jan, you'll always be able to get a balenciaga, especially in black. But, once the chanel goes it's gone.

pucci, you can not go wrong with a black reissue! i think it can be extremely classy or you can dress it down so it's more funky definitely consider it over the B bag in black. as previously mentioned, you can always get a black B bag
