Chanel Haute Couture F/W 2015.16 Paris

It actually looks promising, after years of god awful collections...

Looks like it's the best Chanel Couture collection in ages.

Urgh I despise Karl and this collection so much. I also couldn't stop staring at the hair and makeup.

I feel like I have seen everything gazillion times Yes it is nice but OMG you don't even need to 'design' just give them the old scripts and redo them

The clothes are ok, but hair and makeup are just awful...Does Karl try to give us Diana Vreeland vibe:o

This is just so beautiful, so charming. I really like this return to a more "vintage" aesthetic since the fall RTW 2015 collection.
I like seeing those usual lesage embroidered suits, the new silhouette is quite interesting for a 30's inspired collection but it works.
So many beautiful dresses in the eveningwear section.

It's almost seasonless as a collection. Less coats than usual, a lot of very light dresses.

I really don't like their choices of models. I really don't think those young girls can pull off couture. This is not "Chloé's Dior Couture"!

I mean, every season the same comments about Karl's couture collections. So you all really don't see anything different between fall 2014, Spring 2015 and this? I'm done!

Doesn't it feel like a best-of of many of his previous collections? i can recognize at least 6 different things from old haute couture collections, but it still feels and looks a million times better than the past few years.... probably cause the gimmick here were the celebs walking the runway, and the clothes lost all the ridiculousness of recent years.

It's so chic, but it's a different direction for Chanel than s/s 2015 couture. I like the fact that Karl tried to back to Chanel's roots and it works. He kept it clean so it's not as weird as his f/w 15.16 ready to wear collection. This couture is almost timeless and nothing looks like a costume. But that cast... it didn't reflect the vibe at all. It's like Karl didn't want to do a lot of gimmicks with clothes, so he wanted to do cast like this with insta-"stars" and other weird things. But still it's a gorgeous collection.

there are still some atrocious pieces but over all I think it's my favourite Chanel collection in years!
Question: Does the celebrities sitting at the casino table wearing pieces from this collection too?
