I'm noticing a lot of vitriol directed towards Chanel. I don't know if it's based on her look, her statements, her recent success or what. Sounds odd to me.

I don't think most of the hate is coming from Black women. Black women should be glad any Black model is getting shine. I don't particularly think some models are the most beautiful or best models, but I'll support them because we're so scarce in the industry. Plus, Chanel isn't that bad, IMO. She doesn't seem to be articulate or witty, but she appears to be a model with good potential.

I disagree, because i dont know what ethnicity the posters who are so adamant about their distaste for Chanel, are.

If that IS the case, though, i believe it is a two way street. Could it be that women of African descent dont like the fact that Chanel is the most prominent face for that demographic AND Caucasian women dislike the fact that a BLACK model is amassing so much success, so quickly?

One can never tell, what i will say is i support her ALOT! Love you Chanel!

I think she is pretty, and looks charming i guess. But shes till not really my type- lol. I prefer more mysterious and witty girls- she seems like what you see is what you get. I do however think she has amazing runway potential with her height and body though.
