"It's my first Victoria's Secret show and I'm very excited," confided Chanel Iman. "And I'm glad it's in New York City because
everybody's gonna come out tonight."
Everybody did, judging from the front row, which included Jay-Z (in a tux and bow tie), Dr. Dre, Carine Roitfeld, Patrick Demarchelier, Patricia Field,
Zac Posen,
Alexander Wang, Russell Simmons, Richard Branson, Michelle Trachtenberg, Harvey Weinstein and Kyle MacLachlan.
All applauded heartily when Heidi took the stage, six weeks after giving birth to her fourth child, in a plum bustier slip with a white chiffon skirt,
and they went wild when Chanel flirted with the audience before playfully tossing her handbag into the crowd.
"People are used to seeing me in high fashion shows and they're more conservative; the Victoria's Secret show is a little bit more commercial and you can do what you feel like doing," Chanel said beforehand.
"If you feel like having a strong, fierce face then you're gonna have a strong, fierce face. And if you feel like having a big, jollyolly smile, you're gonna smile. It's a side of me where I get to come out and express myself, so it's exciting."
We couldn't agree more.
