Chanel Iman

I have never been a fan of Chanel's look, but I must say that it impresses me how she works mainly as a commercial model for VS, H&M, Express, etc (and rakes in the dollars), while she still manages to be in demand with Gucci, Christian Dior, Balenciaga, etc.

Well done.

I can't stand that cheap flower print jumper they have her in at Dior, but it is always good to see her there.

Ah, thank you for clearing that up. But either way everyone gets so worked up on whether she'll do well or not and she clearly has been delivering!

I agree with you. Chanel has proven herself to have staying power; however, I think everyone gets nervous around the fashion weeks because she is a Black girl and that almost always seems to make the security of a job that less secure. Also Chanel is in such high demand on the commercial front, so people automatically assume, judging from the careers of other high fashion girls that went mainstream, that she might be turned away from designers who might not look so kindly on her being a VS, a H&M, and a Nordstrom diva. LOL.

 NORDSTROM DIVA I'M DOWN FOR THE COUNT!!!

You are absolutely right, and then we still have these clowns coming over to our juke joint telling us she's here today gone tomorrow, years later. :innocent:

Uh Oh...

Looks like she wasn't at Galliano :( (guess a lot of the usual girls got traded in for the supers and 90s girls this season). Still I'm very happy to see her at Loewe...I'm not sure who's involved with the casting process (Grand or Lee?) but I think it's someone important :p.

Hope she'll be at Givenchy later.

Loewe was cast by Russell Marsh and styled by Katie Grand last season. She styled the show this season again but i'm not sure who did the casting...lots of the girls Marsh used last season were there and many of his current favourites. I think Chanel being there had more to do with K.Grand.

It was def. not Russell....we all know he wont even touch Ms. Chanel. It seems more of a Michelle Lee casting IMO....Didn't she cast it last season as well?....

Marsh did the casting last season and the season before that. Chanel didn't do any of Michelle Lee's shows this season either for 2 seasons now. Giles was cast by Katie Grand it seems.
