You know, I was very disturbed earlier in the magazine thread when a poster made an offensive remark (that was promptly deleted, as well as my response)... something to the effect of "Chanel looking like a monkey" and comments about her nose and hair, her black features.

Now I understand why black models/celebs on high fashion covers sell so much less. We still have such ignorance prevalent, even today.

bruna and tanya are both great---but if their skin was darker, their stock would not be as hot. for chanel to do so well despite the industry's hang up on fair skin, is great. emanuela de paula looks just like anja rubik, who is one of the hottest models now, and she can hardly get a break. so---go chanel!!!

She isn't doing well despite the hang ups- she's doing well because of them. Unlike de Paula she can easily get into impossible sample sizes.
