Can someone explain to me how the models are paid, for example, Chanel. I mean, she has done these three HC shows, is she paid directly by the agency or by designer? How much do you all think she is making, surely upwards to the ten thousands, no?

well most models aren't well paid unless they are like gemma, daria, or sasha. chanel being young and in a way still new is prob not paid a ton for her shows. what she is paid prob goes to her agency and then some to her. some designers prob give her clothes for her work as well. but doing dior and valentino. well maybe not valentino, its honor enough to be in the show. but dior i'm guessing she got a pretty penny for someone who is 17.

but no, i don't think she's making tens of thousands.

I'd guess she makes a few thousand from the shows, but she won't start making real money until she starts landing campaigns. Models get money from their advertisements and endorsements. The good news is it's probably only a matter of time at this point, because the more print work and runway shows she gets, the more likely the big campaigns will roll in eventually.

Those huge commercial brands like Gap and H&M pay out a huge sum of money but there are not considered to be that prestigious. She's done the gap for 2 seasons now so I assume that she's made quite a bit for a 18 year old

She's beautiful, but I don't think her face holds a ton of makeup well, like for instance this intense red lip (her face is too babyish or something). but I do love her more natural, softer looks.
