I have finally bought the italian vogue. so i can finally return to this thread without fear of being spoiled of pics.

her italian vogue editorial is her best to date. and she got a lot more pics than most of the other girls so i'm very happy for her.

Wow this ed is seriously pure art ! Im very impressed, to be honest Ive never really taken her serious so far but I think I have to change that now
...But what made me think a bit was that they actually painted her face and body even darker than it already is, to me it appeals a bit funny, as if they would want to show theyre non-racist attitude so bad that they even paint theyr dark models darker
Please dont get me wrong its a gorgeous ed and I really dont care at all in what colour they paint it just...made me think, do you know what i mean ?

yes, i was unsure of what the purpose of the body paint was as well i'm not sure what they were trying to say.

See, i told many folks that we've barely scratched the surface of what she can do. The only hinderance of her developing is the lack of oppurtunity to prove herself. It's amazing with the heavy make-up and styling she still managed to shine through so wonderfully



She hasn't been on Myspace in almost 2 weeks.
I really hope she's been shooting eds. I'd love to see her gracing some September & October issues

Everyone, I dont think the dark makeup in the Vogue Italia editorial was meant to be offensive. I am of a dark complexion, and I did not find it offensive at all. I really don't know how to describe it. I thought it was very much some sort of homage to the Nubian beauties of Africa, as well as this channeling of Grace Jones, as we all know, who is of a dark complexion as well. Maybe I am reading too far into it all.

I agree. I thought the darker makeup was beautiful personally. I would relate it the same in the way photographer will darken a girl with extremely pale white complexion (or even go the opposite way and may her snow white for that matter) for the sake of heightening art, lighting, visual contrast, etc.
