Why is it unlikely? Hansn't she done both M by MJ and MJ mainline consecutively for many seasons now?

She's never done the fall shows for both those lines. They always cast her for their S/S shows (S/S 07, 08, 09). Sess is doing the show and Jou is a given...they also don't use more than 2 black girls in the Fall season
If she does the show, great!...if she doesn't it's not the end of the world. I just don't expect her to be there.

Her lula spread should be good judging by the cover and their editorials tend to be really long too....that's something to look forward to

Chanel's looks is a lot more light.youthfull, and effervescent, which I suppose suits the Spring collections more than the dark, gloom of the winter ones.

I think Chanel's editorial work is the best it's ever been. People act like she's fading but isn't she's been booking editorials left and right lately.

Yes definitely, UGH, I wish she would switch agencies.

Also I know this sounds bad, but there are a LOT more black models on the runways this season (which is excellent,) but I feel as if sometimes designers only want one or two black girls in their shows. With more models competing for those spots, it may be harder for Chanel to book.

If someone doesn't want to book you, it won't happen. No matter how much work you've done or how hard your agent has worked for you.

Unfortunately, a decline in runway work usually means a massive decline in editorial bookings.

Either her look is on it's way out or people are not booking her because of overexposure. The biggest mistake she's made is being on Youtube. There's something that's alluring about a model that you dont know much about. She's being seen at way too many events (for a model) and is being pictured with too many celebs..all of which gets her featured on many blogs. That's a major turn off for every casting director.

Word on the street is MJ has 50-60 looks and that its 1 look per model....so hopefully this raises the chances of Chanel being there.

That's what we're hearing . . . (3 hours! Or maybe four, if he's back to his old, late ways.)
As far as cast: supposedly Du Juan, Hannelore Knuts, Olga Sherer, Elsa Sylvan, Jessica Stam, Chanel Iman, Natasha Poly, Karolin Wolter, Snejana Onopka, and "Eliza" (which could only be Eliza Cummins) are all backstage; for the runthrough the models all have different hairstyles.

This just goes to show that even though the presence of Black models improves a little in NY, the ratio of Black girls walking is still less than their white counterparts. For every Black girl, there are five white girls walking beside her.

If her runway/high fashion career is cooling down {which I don't believe it is doing), THANK GOD for her being as social as we have seen her this season. She can do TV, movies, Hollywood, etc.
