Is it like a continuation of the last ed she had with MAS and Patrick D.? ....im assuming sans the Tyga:shock:.

reminescent of the early 90's ...

i love chanel but i cant believe she higher then jourdan and sess. but im happy to see all my fav girls on top.

i cant remember a time apart from the early 90-93 when there was so many black models working at once ... back then it was naomi, beverly peele, stephanie roberts, veronica, iman, tyra, dion, lana ogilvie, aya etc ... go back a couple of years 88-89 and you have the likes of kara young, roshumba, louise v, gail o'neil, beverly johnson, akure, sebastian & a throng of commerical & runway models also ... and fast forward to 95-96 and u have some of those above and also brandi q, lorraine pascale & kiara k also

... but since the noughties there has been a real dearth of many black models working at the top end simultenously ... while many have criticized the VI issue to have had little impact, i would argue that at least things are better than they have been in recent years ... i think anna wintour has definitely being championing (and about time!!!) the cause in recent months and the obama effect has really helped to show how slow and predujiced the fashion game is and compeletly out of touch of reality ... art/fashion is supposed to be a harbinger of what is to come, it is supposed to set trends, but this is one area where it has been embarrasingly archaic and behind the times ... i have a feeling though that fashion (or at least a publication like Vogue US) can no longer just operate by the exclusive fashion rules that favour non-white models and just say that its the look of the season or the current trend .. such a notion is pathetically outdated and a lame excuse ...
