Chanel Iman

I remember her saying in an interview saying something like "Brazil is next" when they asked her about the places she has traveled:woot:

I did an online translation of the article on her walking Sao Paulo Fashion Week from http://rgvogue.ig.com.br/moda/2009/11/16/chanel+iman+para+rosa+cha+9104996.html
It says:

Chanel Iman for Pink Tea
16/11 for Writing
RG already starts to think about the Brazilian weeks of fashion. Not, it is not very early: the marks already prepare details of its parades, the assessorships of the events already ask for credenciamento… the tent starts to be mounted. Between good the news, an excellent one: the American model of African ancestry and korean Chanel Iman must be one of the great stars of this SPFW of winter.
Iman is queridinha of the fashionistas. Not only for the chic exotismo, but also for the known affection. The young woman is gentile. E gentility in fashion… well, it exists, but she is not thus so explicit. The things come drastically moving thanks to a new generation of compromised people more with the calm and good course of the life. E Chanel is of this group.
15ª in ranking of Models.com can be seen in the campaign of summer of the Ralph Lauren, in the layer of the Teen Vogue of this month, in editorials of Vogue America, etc and such. This way, it must estrelar the campaign and catwalk of the Pink Tea, mark that - surprise - comes back to integrate the Brazilian calendar of fashion, after a hiato. Under the command of its former-owner, Amir Slama, the Pink Tea was to alçar flights (successful, it is said) in the week of fashion of NY. After being vendida for Grupo Marisol, the Pink Tea passed for a process that culminated in the change in the style direction - Amir preferred to leave and Herchcovitch was contracted. The parade of this next SPFW must reflect this new way of the mark.
All anxious ones, therefore. E still with one to parade of Iman to make to shine the olhinhos.

-Sorry it seems all of the words didn't translate but you get the drift!

^YES to her walking in Sao Paulo Fashion week! Waited for this news

In other good news, here's Chanel with Thakoon Panichgul at the Sixth Annual CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards. She looks good in that dress and he looks like a midget compared to her!

She looks stunning :woot:...I swear she has the best style of any model I've seen in recent memory

Chanel will definitely walk for SPFW because Ford Supermodel of the World will be held in Sao Paulo on January 16, 2010 ;)

Couture is at the end of January as far as I am aware so there should be room for both :)

Some more info on her ed in US Vogue (neverending),

Geeze, Chanel just loves to work, werk and werque. Loving this influx of prints and fabulousness. Can't wait to see her in SPFW and VS in 2 days!! :buzz:

From NY to SP in a matter of two-three days!!! Godd luck Chanel...hopefully the Jetlag is not too heavy on u! And aren't the couture shows in January? So I doubt this will affect her appearance at the couture shows, hopefully she does more than One!

Well she did lots of shows for S/S 09...there were literally no black models at F/W 09 apart from R'el at Valentino and Chanel herself @ Dior, so we'll have to hope for an improvement on that situation :judge:

Chanel has a perfect body for couture, especially now that she's matured a bit.
