and i have to say, i think this "zomg, she needs to stay relevant" chicken little-ing is unwarranted. to say this, really? after the gap, express campaigns, the vs contract, appearances at the dior, givenchy and valentino couture shows, the upcoming eds in vogue espana and vogue us, the upcoming lula cover, the rosa cha campaign...

it's time for a little perspective. she's at her most relevant point in her entire career. yeah, it sucks that she wasn't at more shows, but she did the some of the highest profile shows in nyc. and when we compare this to that season when she did that random academy of art show this season looks pretty good!

there are so many new girls now...it's no longer chanel, jourdan, sessilee and arlenis. now there's rose, aminata, lyndsey, r'el, joan, sedene, shena, georgie, etc... and that's good. chanel helped make it happen, she's a trailblazer

if this happens come september, we'll have something to worry about. but i don't think that'll happen. the boss b!tch ain't goin' nowhere B)

You can't deny that she needs a major push in the editorial/campaign market at this point, though. What she's doing now is good but it isn't exactly A-list stuff. The regular one page feature in Vogue US is not going to cut it anymore either. All those new girls are great but as an established face...they should not be pushing you out of the way so to speak. All the key casting directors in NY cast some of the important shows in Europe aswell, so far nearly all of them have not booked her for any NY shows. I love her but i can't pretend this is any good.
