Veronica Webb posted on her twitter that Chanel Iman was the opener??? Im confused

Its confusing because Chanel came out first and stood on some steps they had, then two other models I cant remember did the same thing. Then Sasha came out and walked down the runway followed by Chanel. So Shasha had the first walk. Does it make sense?

You can't deny that she needs a major push in the editorial/campaign market at this point, though. What she's doing now is good but it isn't exactly A-list stuff. The regular one page feature in Vogue US is not going to cut it anymore either. All those new girls are great but as an established face...they should not be pushing you out of the way so to speak. All the key casting directors in NY cast some of the important shows in Europe aswell, so far nearly all of them have not booked her for any NY shows. I love her but i can't pretend this is any good.

but let's be real, though. who's league is she in exactly? not in abbey lee and karlie's with multiple ads and eds in the vogues every month which really sucks! and which black models are? even jourdan before her break only managed to get two ads despite a heavy presence on the runways ...and one of them was in the background of a men's fragrance ad!

will rose's vp cover translate into a major multi or even only girl ad for the fall campaigns? it's not impossible but i doubt it. it sucks to flip though us vogue and only see chanel's express ad or gracie's dkny one. that's the name of the game unfortunately right now...

it's a fact that her best season is s/s. sessilee, if i recall correctly, didn't have a very strong s/s last time around but has done better (in my estimation) this f/w in nyc. so, i think she'll be able to ride out this small dip. and when this is put in context with her previous seasons, to not do that well be still walk kors and ralph lauren is still good. we'll just have to see what happens, but at this point i'm just not terribly worried.

by the way, i was flipping through allure earlier (with jessica simpson) on the cover and saw a pic of chanel on the allure.com ad page. she was wearing a white perforated trench, cinched with a black belt. it looked spring-y...is this a future ed perhaps?
