words haven't been truer! i was just reading her old thread over marveling over the progress that so many people said she would never make, the success people said she would never have - and how many times have people said she was just a phase? this is too long to be a phase, i'm gonna need everyone to just get into it, get used to it or just get over it because she is here to STAY!

I think a lot has been said in this thread about her working with her mother to get things together with the boutique. That should be taken into consideration in regards to why she isn't sparking a presence as of late. Also she isn't a new girl anymore. She has not been for some time. To echo someone else from the previous pages: I don't believe Chanel wants to work as much as she once did. I remember when she was that girl on every runway and at every show, and STILL couldn't catch a break when it came down to campaigns. Maybe she is tired of the perpetual grind that yields NO results. VS money is consistent and reliable. I like that she seems to be growing in that arena.

I honestly don't think that VS is always that reliable. Lindsay and Emanuela were once used so much and now are nowhere to be seen. There are exceptions however. But I really don't like Chanel for VS. Yes, it brings the money but I just can't help but cringe when I see her in lingerie, it just feels wrong to me.

that was me! i honestly think she's at that point where she's being selective - moreso than before, for the reasons you have mentioned. the girl is smart, she knows what she's doing.

I don't think she can be or is being selective when she's appearing in the most random magazines (i'm talking about that horrible The Block cover). Her career is simply taking on a different direction now, doing more money jobs and far less high fashion work because there's less demand for her in that arena. It's not a bad thing, the majority of models just fade away...atleast she has the VS thing going on.
