I met Chanel today at the Congressional Black Caucus Convention in DC. She was such a sweetheart and very talkative. The girl was looking good and was much taller than I expected. I'm 6'4 and she was about my height in her Louboutins. Here are some pics I took at the event:



We talked a lot about where her career is headed and new projects on the horizon. In the next few weeks she will work with SkullCandy and she will fly to South Africa for a secret project! Right now she is more focused on working on her personal brand.

She also told me that we have some very important and exciting print work to look forward to in the near future. It involves some other big name models but thats all I can say. But she was sure to mention that 2014 would be a big year for her and we could expect radical things to happen!!!!

Runway was another subject that came up. She assured me that we should expect to see her in Paris but could not elaborate. Chanel told me that at this point in her career runway just isn't as important and that she needed a break from it all.

Before she left for the airport I asked her to send a message to all her loyal fans here!

Michael Kors is dedicating the month of October to the fight against hunger. The designer has a long-term partnership with the United Nations World Food Programme and previously launched the Watch Hunger Stop campaign – featuring a collection of charity T-shirts and a specially designed 100 Series watch, from which the sale of just one provides 100 meals to children in need.

On October 16, World Food Day, Kors and his team will take to the streets outside six of his stores in five cities – New York, Berlin, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo and Hong Kong – to give away Watch Hunger Stop T-shirts (as modelled by Chanel Iman and Lily Aldridge) to shoppers. Willing recipients will then be encouraged to go have their picture taken inside a photo booth (to be turned into an animated GIF), which will be live-streamed across billboards in Times Square and online at Watchhungerstop.com.
