Chanel S/S 2026 Pre-Collection

I find it fine but I think I got what strikes me in the first place here: it’s quite under-accessorized for Chanel.
I paid a visit to the store the other day before going to the RO exhibition and was curious to know if they will still do the classic Camélia. Since Blazy is not really pushing it.
They confirmed they will.

With this kind of minimalism, they won’t get away with things like glued sequins on denim or things like that. In terms of perceived quality and complementary items to create outfits with during fittings, this will serve as a great backdrop.

But ultimately I have more expectations for the the runway collection and it commercial version.

It’s very chic and I like it but no « I have to have it » feeling even with the giant quilted bag.

They inserted enough basic products that the rtw buyers can probably keep buying. Maybe not long time buyers because they already own many of them with better cut.

Honetsly the people saying 'Its basic and styles to look commercial' have you seen the previous Act1 edits!? They're the most basic clothes in the world. This is no different and atleast has a bit more attitude than these below...

Sure the act 1 collections always have basic items but they integrate with many past and current collection and yes its stuck in KL ´s Chanel and it gets slightly updated every season which gives continuity even if it could be done better i totally agree.

But what is Blazy excuse ? his clothes look just as old fashion and there's no cohesiveness on top...he is not pushing it forward he is just adding to the problems they already had sans extra logo´s but that's not enough to be modern.

Also all big brands live off same silhouettes from these commercial collection like the 50´s mod a line dress (LV been doing them every season since the first NG collection), the 70´s shirt/blouse dress , the double set cardigan , simple shorts in 60 ´s cut etc etc
From left to right: LV DIOR GUCCI CHANEL LV DIOR for got to ad prada but they have as well .
Its merchisining grid they need to check mark every season to keep selling what people need often .

Blazy is younger he should have more fresh ideas that really hit the mark like wow fresh & wearable, truth is his collections at BV where just as ugly frumpy online or in store nothing changed at Chanel just a cc logo.

Funny you mentioned it.
I happen to own the last jacket.
It is Lesage.
The good stuff is mixed in.
Ever since MB started, I have not yet seen any lesage tweed.
But for any commercial collections, you look for basics that work with your wardrobe.

But I agree that the styling has been awful. They tried to inject some ease and casual looks. And at some point the Elaine Benes style just dominated. With that big hair.

Anyway, I am not touching the MB stuff just like I didn't touch Demna's Balenciaga. No, I should say, the LN stuff.
