Chanel Watches S/S 2022 : Lola Nicon & Soo Joo Park

This is terrible?

The first shot looks like a 14 years old trying to make a model look with an iPhone selfie. I wonder who shot it.

And they wonder why, in the world of watches, that Chanel isn't taken as seriously as others.

Si i guess it was a matter of time for them to push other categories to the millenials. So what’s better than sticking a big, tacky logo on a very expensive watch!?

I have a Premiere and always loved the Boyfriend but this is tacky.

I guess they will raise the prices too as they did with their Coco crush recently.

And they wonder why, in the world of watches, that Chanel isn't taken as seriously as others.
Because it’s a fashion brand and fashion brands are rarely taken seriously in that world and their first market is women…A category sometimes overlooked in the watch world because things like complications are not really valued by women.
I know, my watch is first and foremost a jewelry.
But they are great with watches.

That being said, a campaign like this doesn’t help either…

I've noticed a push in magazines over the past while - particularly in Conde Nast ones - where they're trying to 'educate' women about buying expensive watches, because it might not have been something a person would have previously considered, but if there's a lively market where women will happily pay five thousand pounds for a designer bag, there's an untapped market where more people can also be convinced into paying the same for a watch.

Chanel could make a killing from this - but they've gone from having classic pieces elegantly presented to producing a campaign that would put you in mind of Claire's Accessories.
