Charles Anastase S/S 07 Paris

I don't like what I've seen so far. It's not much different from what he presented for the past several seasons, and they are already doing this same little girl's dresses all over NY. Hopefully the other pieces will be more interesting. He isn't a one-note wonder, I hope...:ermm:

well,it's still youthful in the detail but I think alot of the silhouette and even in the styling is alot more sophisticated than the previous

here's a couple more that diane posted earlier...

I love the lace trim that's peeking from beneath this blouse...and the print on this hooded dress is beautiful

when I look at it more and more it actually brings to mind those wonderful ladies from the 60's like Françoise Hardy,Marianne Faithfull but meeting a more fantastical character like Alice in Wonderland.

I like the printed dress better, and that row of bullet-like copper trim and lace insert... He did some BW-ish pieces before too.

It's amazing indeed. If it were in a different colour scheme I would want that for myself ;) A bit too dainty, this one. Okay,so you ladies have one thing that I wouldn't do

i really think i like every single look :woot:
thanks brian for finding them..
i'm so amused by how creased that pink jacket is :p
even though the lovely print looks a bit like an afterthought against all the black, i'm so glad it's there :crush:

^you and I both strawberry. I think absolutely everything in this collection is just extraordinary. Even though some of these silhouettes might be percieved as a bit trendy at the moment there is something different in the execution from Charles. Especially,in those pieces with the deconstructed,patchworking....quite beautiful.

^^I agree with you Scott! It is as if Anastase is really FEELING the sillhouette he's working with wholeheartedly and not just using it because it's a trend or it's influenced by another designer. I love every single look too but I love the printed hooded piece the best for the reason that it works ever so well on it's own with all the ruching.

wow, love it all but the BW-ish part
..i dont think he needed that to 'support' his collection
