I admired him more because of the active role he took in different causes than his skills as an actor. I love the last quote about the "no tickets."

Aw. Sad day. One of my favorite actors. Ben Hur is one of my absolute favorite films ever.

Also he was married to his wife for 64 years, that's amazing. You don't see that these days with celebrities.

Charlton Heston was my husbands favourite actor since he was a boy. He made me watch all of Chuck`s movies!!!

He hasn't been the president of the NRA since at least 2003. He did stay as a life-long member.

He was a fantastic actor!!

great actor but he stood up for what he believed even though it was for good or bad causes. but i am not a fan of him & the NRA thing.

I am a fan of of him and his beliefs (not that that matters). I have been having lots of sleepless nights working on hw projects with TCM on in the background. Early this morning they had an interview of him (obviously from the recent past). It was interesting. I think they said he made about 100 movies! I think I will always think of him as Moses though.
