China Kirby and her moody kid look caught our eyes when we saw her for the first time. Was only a couple of pictures but her expressions were already captivating, especially the way she gazes at the camera. Bringing some intensity to any polaroid she takes. Now she's back in NY - see it on Ginny Edwards' blog - and worked with Jonathan Leder for her book (see above). The styling is pretty different from all she's done before, she's experiencing curly hair in a lonely bedroom. Her expression and gaze remain of the same intensity, strengthening our feeling the 5'9"5 blonde from Tenessee has much potential and a large part of it still hidden, waiting to be unveiled. That's what development is dedicated to. And development is our favorite part in a model's career. Watch it, watch her and watch for more of her.

China back in NYC

Chadwick Tyler 2/10/09

China will appear in Chadwick Tyler's exhibition, Tiberius, on February 10th in NY.

No idea how I could overlook her thread for such a long time - just saw her on Ginny Edwards board and was immediately smitten with China I can't really put my finger on it, but she reminds me of Ginta Lapina and Emma Karlsson and in some shots I even see a little bit of Gemma .. (probably the nose and childlike features)
And unfortunately I can't seem to find her pic from Chadwick's Tiberius exhibition, but here is a couple of gorgeous shots from her portfolio on GED's site
