Christian Dior Cruise 2026 and Haute Couture F/W 2025.26 Rome

This is Chiuri’s “La Nuit des Jardins.” In some cases she succeeded in delivering through tight tailoring; in others, she strayed into Instagram-friendly romanticism and excessive ruffles. I appreciate the effort put into embroidery, appliqué flowers, and other handwork. Yet the collection lacks caractère, a decisive point of view.

It’s a clean farewell collection with some glimpses of beauty. Of course she wouldn’t go off the rail for her last collection (probably of her career too).
I have no beef with this woman (there’s nothing wrong with being a commercial designer) but I don’t like the facts that most critics always walk on eggshell around her. Maybe she’s truly the head of a coven after all lol.

It’s not just with her. Fashion critics have to be hollow shills around all of them nowadays, lest they be banished and never invited to another show or event ever again— let alone have a job anymore; the exception being Cathy Horyn, but that woman is so wildly and blatantly biased. Look at all the desperate polishing of the grand daddy of all turds that came with Kim Jones being installed at Fendi and Dior, even to the point of hilariously but failing miserably branding him as a leading man.

The days of Tim Blanks’ Fashion File authenticity is but an urban tale only whispered in fashion shadows and afterhours on TFS. No one anywhere else would dare.

the first and only couture show they've missed since the founding of the house in 1946. yikes.
They will probably have appointments, special lunch events for clients during the HC week.
Resort was presented to press and Dior clients but most of the clients will be in town for the week.

It will likely allow them to have a more specific approach for clients. And Couture at the end of the day, should be about clients.
