Christian Dior F/W 2015.16 Paris

Yikes. Horrible. This looks like a NY fashion week show. Those chain mail (?) collars are so, like....Pinterest DIY or something?

He has no idea what he's doing.

It's alright until look 5, then it starts to become ugly. The shoes as always are hideous. I agree, those chain mail collars look like craft projects

The collection looks torn between the abstract and the reality. It's like Raf conjured up some outlandish avant-garde designs only to be restricted by the elegance of the Dior woman.

Raf is definitely making dior more RAF. Anyone else digging the side ponies???

why did he continue those disgusting jumpsuit prints? honestly they do NOT look dior to me...

however, there are some awesome pieces here. i love the skirts.

Basics, very forgettable, not luxurious at all, feels like he's following Nicolas' LV.

Those futuristic plastic mesh pieces loom cool, but that's about it, the rest is alright or just ugly. Yes it does look like raf is making dior more raf and less dior

As much as I adore the pinterest-x-tumblr cuteness of this collection, the cast always threw me off. For me, the collection lacks the wow factor. At least his early collections at the house has some kicks.

There, he lost me. I always found something interesting even in his least interesting collections, but there's not a single covetable thing here for me. Apart from the ghesquiere-vuitton styling, everything is so unappealing. There's good textures and fabrics, a couple interesting dresses, but the prints are ugly, the dresses are all the same, and those short pants suits are hideous. What's happening here?

I am a very huge Raf Simons fan and so far, I have been very understanding of his work at Dior. In fact, I have been very impressed with many collections especially in couture, including the latest one which I loved. That being said, I am not too sure about this. It feels incomplete and at the same time, I think it needed some editing. He's clearly making Dior more into his own image and this is a good thing. So far, he's managed to retain that bit of 50s femininity that is very much needed in a Dior collection. In this case, he seems to have left it out almost completely. There are some really great pieces here but it's really just a diluted version of the couture show and I hope this wouldn't become the norm for every RTW collection he does. Pre-fall was more convincing and a better proposition of the Raf and Dior marriage. I'd still keep my final judgements until I see the video.

I think this collection should be renamed "Louis Vuitton by Nicolas Ghesquiere, designed by Raf Simons for Dior, through the eyes of Prada & Versace"

I love this! This is for me his best collection at Dior and his most decent collection since he left Jil Sander.
I like the simple shapes, the sexiness and the fact that it's less pretentious than what he did before.
BUT, it's very Nicolas Ghesquiere for Vuitton.
I feel like the cast didn't match the clothes. I mean, Julia Nobis didn't fit in.

The collection looks torn between the abstract and the reality. It's like Raf conjured up some outlandish avant-garde designs only to be restricted by the elegance of the Dior woman.
I feel that too. The fact that he is starting to copy is a perfect proof. He is playing safe because maybe he doesn't believe in his own vision for the house.
I mean, suddenly, his Dior is more sensual, more young, more fresh. But in the other hand, he is doing those big coats. Those coat are hiding the very adventurous color combinations.

Yes, Dior is going more & more Raf but it doesn't bother me at all as Raf failed at doing Dior right.
He needs to do Dior Homme also IMO.

Not my favorite but pretty Raf, he really injects his DNA to this house.I couldn't see Dior but I see Raf Simon's womenswear instead.
