They both look great on you.....I pesonally prefer the Ambrosina......They just look classier and more elegant. For some reason the Passementerie looks cheaper......I like it but its kind of old school to me....not sure if I'm making sense..... lol

kimair I own the knee high boots :] the heel is pretty high, but, well, it's louboutin! they're very simple and versatile you have to go try them on!

i went to barneys yesterday and they only had the suede version, which i loved, but suede in sf would not work...
they were totally hot...absolutely loved them...

blkladylaw...i have to agree with jules...the ambrosina just look perfect on you...

EDIT: Def keep the White Roditas. They are so sexy and fun! I'm not as crazy about the Sometimes in Silver, but that's just me!

Great (and fashionable) minds think alike! Black boots are on my list for autumn, too. Although I'm leaning towards getting a lowered heel black boot and also getting a stiletto bootie, I love the tall, high boots you pictured, kimair and am curious, too, as to how they fit.

I also like the pictured look of the low-heel Nubuck boots named Diane, but wonder how that heel and the boot height on the leg will look when worn. Anyone seen them in real life or tried them on?

Sayrahtee, I have been eyeing those a bit myself, but I know I'd never wear them! Hehe. They are very cute in irl. I especially love the off-white version. Of course, they would last about 30 seconds outside, the way I wear my shoes...

Kimair I love the Babels. I have heard the legs are cut very skinny. That works in some people's favor and not in others. I'm not sure where I fit in on that scale!

I was goona say exactly the opposite. I think the Passementerie a lot richer, not $$-wise but in terms of "artistic value"... i don't know how to define it really... maybe it's that torero/Goya/spanish allure the passementerie have that attracts me so badly!! whatever it is, i LOVE them more than the ambrosina... to me the ambrosina look like many other designers could have done them. i think it's much harder to come up with a design like the pasementerie that doesnt look either cheap, or overembellished. these are just in perfect balance!

Ove the past couple of years I have SALIVATED at the thought of owning Louboutins! And I come in here and see so many repeat purchasers... makes me jealous...

But I love seeing all of the wonderful purchases. Maybe I should pop in more often.

BlkLadyLaw - Glad you kept them both - they're both beautiful. The Mouche are on my (extensive) dream shoe list.

JetSet - I also love the cream version but know they wouldn't do for even walking a block! In my dream world, where I'm not clumsy, they would work wonderfully, though! I wonder about the durability of the lower-heeled boot in black, since it's not a standard leather - these would be boots I'd wear as an everyday boot and I wear my everyday shoe pretty hard. They are cute, though!

I want to warn you all when buying CLs off ebay. Be careful as there are so many fakes out there. As some of you know I purchased the Sometimes off ebay as I wasn't able to get them otherwise. The seller had good feedback and the shoes in the picture were definitely auth. Sometimes. Unfortunately the shoes I just received don't resemble the ones in the picture at all. They are ugly patent leather fakes. They don't even have correct markings and smell disgustingly . I filed a claim with paypal imediately so please keep your fingers crossed for me that I'll get a refund. I'm so mad and sad. I really hate ebay these days. Especially that everybody seems to get away with selling fake items .

Velony I am soooo sorry. That is dreadful. I really hope it works out for you.

On eBay US, it is safer than other places (eBay UK is currently overrun with fakes), but it's still better to be sure. There are still so many wonderful sellers and rare finds there, so don't give up on it completely.

Thanks girls for your nice words. I contacted the seller and she said they wer authentic because she received them as a gift from her ex boyfriend and if i didn't like them i should sell them on ebay myself. very convincing! i'll let you know how it turns out.

In the meantime, if any of you comes across the real Sometimes in 38, please let me know.
