Christophe Lemaire F/W 13.14 Paris

I'm usually not a fan of his collections as they look a bit too '80s, but I love this. I can't wait to see the men's. Thanks for posting.

This is nice, it does have a late 70s early 80s vibe, in fact it reminds me of office clothes women would wear between 1978-1982

ugh it's just sublime. you know his work has a dash of marc le bihan meets vintage martin margiela mixed with veronique branquinho's brand of simplicity, and i realize that's probably why i am enamoured with what he does. i love every single element in this. especially taken with that look toward the end with those cuffed trousers.

The coats! I love that long khaki green trench and the grey wool belted one... also the khaki jacket with the huge collar.

It's a shame his clothes never look this strong in his Hermes collections.

very nice indeed, and such a wide variety of strong pieces too.
i particularly like the pajama-like silk blouse in the 7th look of post 2.
Coats are SO wonderful--i like how he incorporated some very casual fabrics among the wools, etc.

Scott, your characterization is right on, as usual. ^_^

So strong and beautiful. I'm just hypnotize. Marie's face perfectly fits the collection!

this is a collection i really want to wear, everyday single day. i think the bottoms are my favorite although each time i enlarge the detailed views i see either a dress or a coat that makes me think, yes that one.

First collection of his that I really really dig. I'm glad he's showing more of a clear luxury component and sensuality in his cuts, and moving away from that pegged-leg, pear-shaped dowdy silhouette. Every piece is so casual, unpretentious and just looks comfortable without sacrificing fit-- I really do appreciate that. And it all falls together so well and effortlessly without looking precious, gimmicky or contrived-- and I appreciate that characteristic even more in high fashion; These are designs to make a woman look simply amazing. The only misstep in all of this are some of the footwear, which gives the impression of fat feet and cankles.

Oh those trousers  I said in his menswear F/W 13 thread that I wanted the female tailored version of the collection, and that's literally exactly what this is, so I'm delighted.

if you're referring to the shoulders of some of the pieces, i thought it was intentional, but I like the slouched broad shoulder

Yeah, there are some unsightly pull lines and some of the sewing looks rushed. The fabrics and designs look as gorgeous as usual for Lemaire but the clothes in these photos are reading more sloppy than slouchy. Still, lots of amazing things to wear and I'm sure there are a few things I'll be lusting for come fall.

This collection is the Ying to my Yang. It's the Parisien counterpart to my beloved Theory by Theyskens. One is the Urban Apple, this is the understated chic European city. It makes me wish I could grow t*ts and hips and wear women's clothes. Silently beautiful and rich in respect for our history...

A lot of this collection has too much of a traditional office look for me.

Beautiful!!
ugh, that furry coat is so elegant...
Loving the cut of the pieces, so well thought out...I don't think it's bad fit, it's just hastily made, which is excusable for a show to a certain extent imho

i dunno i don't really see anything badly fitted about this nor sloppy. i think it's very much conveyed that he likes his woman to be effortless and thoughtfully comfortable. and thankfully it's done in a very artisanal way so you get a bit of both the craft and the comfort.
