Christopher Kane F/W 2016.17 : Jamie Bochert by Alasdair McLellan

He should have heard the critics that scolded him for the gimmicky styling and keep it simple for the campaign, the "bag-lady" look is just too literal. I love Jamie and I think she's a great choice for this brand.

I don't know....i feel like he isn't nailing it with his campaigns, and frankly, I find them confusing.

I always think of Kane's work as glossier and so stylized that this very natural, casual photography feels very off. This is like a Vogue Australia shoot - not a Kane campaign. So much of his inspiration comes from cult cinema, trashy television, odd-ball characters, science fiction, etc. that I wish his campaigns reflected that a bit more - more amped up, more imagination.

I personally like it, Jamie is a great fit for the mood of the collection. Also, I don't mind the styling - if I want to see a pared-down version of that outfit I'll just go to a store.
