amazing amazing menswear...
i did not even know about him back in the 80's...
though i guess it would be quite a challenge to get any american men to wear this kind of thing...
the 1989 collection on the site is STUNNING!!!
he shares a similar aesthetic as vivienne westwood, imo...
i can imagine a couple with the boy wearing some of this and the girl in VW...

once in a while there appears certain fashion that attains liberation from fashion system. something that looks as if it got to transcend fashion in spite of being fashion. it may be difficult today, but it was possible for fashion to appear that way in the 80/90's in tokyo at least. for example it's certain years of vivienne westwood. or martin margiela or chrome hearts, etc. and of those special existences, nemeth was the king.
even rei kawakubo, alexander mcqueen had shown his influence.
perhaps maurizio altieri too.
