the posters are my favourite as well, his work almost has a fifties' vintage feel ... you know like old bookcovers you'd find on flea-markets ... a little stiff... but with irony of course.

^yes. There is a kind of kitschy 50's feel about the former illustrations.

That showposter though for YYY's...it reminds me of something but I can't place it exactly. I'm thinking Tim Burton's "Melancholy Death" illustrations but with colour.
