what is your favorite classic book?

i don't know what would be considered classics, i guess anything from The Grapes of Wrath to Romeo and Juliet. and since we are now living in this "vampire era", the Twilight Saga might be considerd classic too.

East of Eden is one of my favorites =)

GOD, they're quite a lot frankly:

Anna Karenina
House of Spirits
Pride and Prejudice
The Scarlett letter
Sons and Lovers

Crime and Punishment
The Great Gatsby
Animal Farm, it creeped me out, but it was interesting.

I'm a big fan of the classics:

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Les Miserables by Victor Hugo
Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe
Annabelle Lee by Edgar Allan Poe
The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe
Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
Night by Elie Wiesel
To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee
Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen

^ I am reading To Kill a Mockingbird. My friend is naming her child Atticus so I'm eager to hear the story behind it. ^_^

The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas is my favorite book of all time.

^You won't be disappointed. Atticus Finch is a brilliant literary character.

Lolita (Nabokov), Le Rouge et Le Noir (Stendhal) & Blindness (Saramago)

Romeo & Juliet
Hamlet
Long Day's Journey Into Night
The Woman in White
Dracula
The Bell Jar
The Catcher in the Rye
