I didn't see a thread that really covered this...lots of threads about people's
favorite products, but I have a hard time purchasing newer products based
on a few people's reviews so I thought it'd be great to have a topic about
stuff that's stood the test of time & lots of people love & use.

So please list products you think have become classics...even if you haven't
tried them...& if you have, tell me what you thought!

I'll list a couple items:

> Baby powder [great for if you have a bit of oil in your hair but don't want
to wash it. Just dust some in your hair & brush through. Gets rid of all that
pesky oil]

> Smith's Rosebud salve [Know a lot of people who use this for lips, dry
skin etc., but have never tried it myself, Very curious about this.]

Nita are you sure you want this thread in Paint and not in Skin & Body Care ?

I'm sure....hehe. I did post one item that is more for body & one that's
multi-purpose, but my question is geared towards everything...from
make-up to cleansers to lotions & perfumes. Would there be a better
forum for it?

Yes, Paint that Face is not for cleansers to lotions & perfumes, it's just for Make up..
I could move this the Skin & Bod Care and you could make a twin thread geared more towards classic make up products if you'd like ? :flower:

> Lancôme Nutrix Soothing Treatment Cream
Sometimes a serious moisturizer without all the anti-aging bells and complexion-perfecting whistles is what your skin really craves. Launched in 1936 and discontinued in 2004, this super-hydrating salve is back by popular demand. Its targeted blend of smoothing and soothing ingredients makes it a must-have for the Sahara-esque humidity levels common to many winter climes. (text style.com)

> Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream (Great for winter skin, extra protection when skiing, chapped lips etc)

> Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair - Great product, a survey among ex-estee lauder SA's showed that the Advanced Night Repair was the one product that they would keep purchasing.
