I'm about to start a law internship. The firm's really quite small, so I don't think I should dress really formally...like no suits. I'm just wondering what kind of business-appropriate attire I could wear that would still be cute. I mean, I have black pencil skirts, etc., but that's all so boring.

I hear this phrase often and find it to be true;
"Dress for the job you want, not the job you have." :) :) :)

Congrats on the internship by the way :flower:^_^

Since you don't have to be super formal, you should have fun with dressing for the office! For a change to pencil skirts I would go for a more fun type of skirt, and definetly dresses! Obviously your personal style is key here, but here a few options I personally would consider;

Great alternatives to pencil skirts;

I would recommend dressing conservativly when it comes to styles of dresses however have a little bit more fun with the type of prints you wear. Since it is at a law firm, you still have to look professional but this doesn't mean you should withhold your own style. I like the idea of wearing a full skirt tucked into a button down and cinched at the waist with a nice belt. Its classy, stylish, yet also proffessional. Hope that helps! :)
