Do you wear designer, vintage, or ...?

To me, the brand isn't necessarily important when making a purchase - if the price is affordable and I like the design, that's all I need to know. That being said, I do most of my shopping at thrift stores and places like Target and eBay, where I can often find a great deal.

I also like to make my own dresses. Patterns are so expensive nowadays, though, that I have to be very picky over which ones I really want. You just can't win these days, can you?

I dont own anything designer everything i own is either vintage, highstreet or from a small boutique

erm.. pretty much from everything, but none of it are designer stuff..
its not that i dont like them
but yeah it's quite pricey..

so i tend to make them by my own and alter it a bit here and there for me to fit it better. XDD

I don't shop a lot usually, but I'm beginning to buy more now because I've spent the past six months with literally maybe two outfits to choose from. Shopping is hard for me because I'm terribly picky and I always have an idea in my head about what I want to wear - but then finding those pieces can be difficult.

Anyway, my wardrobe consists of maybe 50% high-end or designer labels; 30% vintage and 20% high-street (American Apparel, basically). eBay has always been good to me in terms of great finds

I don't have a ton of designer clothes either.. a few Burberry items. I try and mix the high and low (high mainly being my handbag collection). I like newer young hip designers, mixed with AA stuff, and Nordstrom sale shoes

i've actually noticed that a lot of people here are like me, mixing designer pieces with thrift store finds.

The vast majority of my clothes seem to be trifted or hand-me-downs from friends and family. The rest is designer stuff from sales (mostly young designers) and then random stuff from chain stores that I've usually gotten from sales also. I also have vintage (don't use the term too loosely!) pieces that I treasure and wear on special occasions. I'm a student...and not very good with handling money. I could afford the designer stuff if I saved up, but hey, there's a concert to go and a film to see and so on.

i wear vintage, as i used to shop vintage a few years back..i dont go shopping often.
the rest of my clothes are small designeres, local designers (as i wear alot of dresses, i find its better fit than..the m ore mass produced stuff)

the only things i splurge on are my handbags and totes, and sunglasses. other than that, i'm a student and i just moved int o my new apartment so id rather really spend on furniture.

99 percent of my wardrobe is vintage or thrifted. I occasionally will buy a piece or two from Br or Anthro. I do love designer clothing, but I think that even if I had the money I probably wouldn't buy it. I think that I would feel weird wearing something that expensive. I am clumsy and spill food on myself all the time, and I have three animals in the house, plus I am on the larger end of things and most of those clothes wouldn't fit me anyways. I mean how often in my life in Columbus, OH would I need to wear a Prada ensemble anyways??

"I couldn't afford to buy all the cool clothes, so I had to make them"

I pretty much only shop at thrift stores and American Apparel anymore...if I'm gettin real crazy I might find something online that's on sale.

I have a couple slightly higher end pieces (DVF, Marc by Marc, Vince) that I got when I worked at a department store and was surrounded by it daily.
It's a bit easier now that I'm at home to keep my spending down, but I am totally addicted to the "hunt" of thrift store shopping.

I buy vintage + I pick specific pieces by my favorite designers each season but only a few!

well i buy designer ("lower" designer though, like acne, etc), vintage and H&M etc..
I don't really care where from I buy the things, as long as it's comfortable, my style and reasonable price.

I don't really stick to any boundaries in terms of brands when I'm buying clothes... I just look for something that is made well and fits well. I'm also very into the idea of making my own clothes, so I knit and sew quite a bit.
