The Ring Dance at my school is coming up. It's a semi-formal. I need a fabulous dress but I have one problem...I have terrible acne on my back. And do not want to expose it. I want to have a cocktail dress that covers my back, but at all the stores all I can find are potato sack shaped dresses. Does anyone know where I can find cute, form fitting, but not revealing of my backne dresses?

you should try...well at prom i bought my date a fur shrug that she wore the whole time and it covered her back while still exposing her shoulders in the front. you could always wear an awesome cocktail dress with a caplet. that could be nice.

just a suggestion about the back..ne? my sister has the same problem and she layed in the sun for awhile and actually ended up getting sunburnt but it helped out a lot.

my back is sort of broke out recently. my mom says my hormones are raging. but then she tells me i'm in a growth spirt. so i can't complain. well. good luck

I agree with loserunit. I think a cute fur shrug or a vintage style sparkly cape would cover up ur back and still look elegant. I would say Ebay might have something unique and one -off for you.

something out of gold sequins would be cool. sort of like last chloe

Reading this makes me picture a sort of audrey-inspired lbd. Maybe something with slightly sheer little cap sleeves. Think Funny Face.

Exactly what I was thinking, actually! I even went off and designed you one...

Wyatt - Those are good ideas. Also regarding backne, I have a history of skin cancer in my family and I really like my ridiciulously pale skin. Its getting better but I don't know if it will be okay for the dance.

Purple (I will always think of you by this name because its so cute) - You are too cute. And that dress is too cute! Now if only I could find something similar.

To update everyone, I've been looking EVERYWHERE and have had little luck. I think ultimately I will have to give up on my New York City shoes to broaden my options

Oh, I totally forgot about those shoes, sorry... I actually just put together a pretty spontaneous idea of what I pictured you in. More practically, maybe you could find a pattern that you liked and get it made? I remember when I was looking for graduation outfits, I decided to either do that or go vintage.
Thanks for the kind comment also, I do like Purple better than my name!
