Aw, I wish I lived in the UK. You guys have the most awesomely tacky celebrities in the world! We have a few in Australia, but not nearly as many, but UK has even more than there is in America! I think maybe because UK has Kate Moss and Sienna Miller, you need extra tackiness/chavness to balance them out

I think the people who control Coleen's career have to get all the credit, coz without them she'd still be shopping and nothing else. I think they made an extremely clever move by using the 'tonight with trevor mcdonald' programme as her starting block, it was always going to be a safe bet. i mean the press are hardly going to slag her off when shes highlighting something so sensitive as childrens hospices as well as it being partly about her family . Because even if she was rubbish (she was quite stiff when talking to the camera and interviewing peole one on one, it looked a bit like a school play, sounded like it was being read ) they, the papers, would be the bad guys for slagging of a good cause. However, watching it it only comfermed what i thought, she'll always be known as Wayne Rooney girlfriend, no matter what she 'achieves' it will be Waynes. I mean how many times did Waynes name get mentioned in the programme??? the answer: about every 5 mins, and thats being kind.
And on a fashion side, she's gradually got betterB) , but she tries way to hard at events and partys, but her everyday wear is nice. i read her column and one thing i noticed a few weeks back is that in her 'Whats in - Whats out' segment, one week she said the mini's are out because they look tarty (please love, state the obvious!! ) and then 2-3 issues later she wrote about the fact that minis are so in and even showing a pic of herself wearing a Matthew Williamson for Pucci one! I mean if any one can make something look cheap and tarty, it's Coleen Mcloughlin.
And i agree with what was said earlier, there's no way she alone could pay for her shopping habit, i mean the papers recently have been saying she alone is worth £6 million which i don't believe for a second.

She shouldn't quit the day job, oh yeah how could i forget, she hasn't got one!!!

On a sader note it was in the local paper the other day that the family car her parent use to transport rosie about in was smashed up after the tv show... now she wasnt that bad that she deserved that was she ???

^^ also you said about her being worth nothing .. well shes doen fitness videos, adverts, collums in closer etc. so i guess she would have made money from them. i mean £6 million isnt a lot when you think of it.

I don't have a problem with her personally, but I do have a problem with her being made out as a style icon when she's anything but. She's not original, she's too pre-meditated, she wears everything all at once. She should keep it simple because she doesn't have the ability to pull off anything too "out there". Put it this way, she's not Kate, or even Sienna, or even Cat. If anything, I blame the media.

considering what her boyfriend has done and how he treats women, she's just a gold digging idiot with no self respect. one can only hope her tremendous handbag collection (over £25,000 was spent on it this year) falls out of her wardrobe and buries her. to think, £25,000 could financially back a hospice for a long time. but i guess having somewhere to put all that money that isn't yours is needed.

I completely disagree. I think it is more to do with Coleen and her family suddenly thinking they are in the same celebrity league as Wayne, when they are clearly not, but then the word 'deluded' is something that goes hand-in hand with Coleen.
If it was to do with Wayne, then why not target his own families homes just a bit further down the road? Her family are that arrogant that it wont have even crossed their minds that it might be down to their own attitudes that has caused bad feeling. They probably think that by using Wayne as an escape goat to the incident, he will cough up some more money for them. And I think it is nasty for them to say it is because of Wayne. After all he has done for them, they then go and use him as the cause of the incident.
I am in no way condoning what happened. It was sick and vile and I hope the yobs who did it are caught and then punished. I just do not believe it was because of Wayne moving football clubs.


I'm confused as to why her mum who once proudly claimed in a newspaper interview that her family 'all still use the bus', now have 3 brand new cars parked outside their house? Oh wait, it was probably the money from Coleens fitness DVD that paid for them.........

Moi87- I totally agree with you. Coleen does not have a 'signature style' nor any individuality. All she has is her boyfriends credit cards and a stack of shop assistants only too willing to palm her off with every new trend available, which Coleen then dutifully wears regardless of wether or not she can actually carry the look off. She does not appreciate clothes or style/design, only labels and cost. It's almost like she is desperate for people to know and acknowledge that she can buy designer clothes.

Lets face it, if she had dumped Wayne for sleeping with prostitutes, then would she have her magazine coloumn? Would the press be following her and taking photos? No way! She would have been long forgotten. Something she realises only too well, hence the reason she stayed with him (and also why her freeloading family publicly stood by Wayne). Coleen is very greedy and selfish. She stayed with him for money and status and as such will use that in any way she can to try and become 'famous in her own right' something she somehow thinks she is 'entitled' to just because she was in a school drama production.

No Victoria Beckham is completely different to Colleen because it was Victoria who actually made David in terms of his international appeal. She was much more famous than Beckham - she was a Spice Girl for Gods sake. And he has already said that she was the one behind his whole style change which is the main reason for his huge fame outside the football world. Victoria might not be the best singer, but she still managed to forge a great career for herself as a Spice Girl; theres never gonna be another pop girl group who will reach their level of fame and that kind of 'mania' that they had. Unlike, Colleen, if Victoria left David she would still be just as famous.

The attacks on the *Mcloughlins* cars wasn't because of his move from Everton to Manchester united, if it were there about 2 years to late, it happened just a few hours after coleen's "tonight....." programme was aired, which also featured her mum. (*= all cars were actually paid for by Mr Rooney, so its not just coleen willing to degrade herself by taking his money after what he did i.e. old prozzies, how can her mum and dad be sitting back watching there daughter be with him, theres something really wrong there, my dad would knock him out, and the rest!!).
I still have not figured out the way Coleen managed to forgive Wayne for his lil' incident, i mean if it is the money and fame (of which the latter i think is more important to her) which kept her, which i think may have made it more appealing, i think she really does not know the value of self respect which is why she'll prob do anything now. i mean how the hell can she look him in the eye!!! Oh well its a good job all those shopping trips have made her feel better!!! Whatever she does for the rest of her life in the public eye, even if she and Wayne broke up it would be because of his talent that 'Coleen Mcloughlin inc.' exists, and shes even herself admitted that fact recently, thank god, she does own one brain cell then!!

I wouldn't mind her handbag wardrobe though!! I them!!!

I know for a fact that if my boyfriend cheated on me like that I owuld not stay with him, fame or no fame. Also, my mum and dad would definitely not forgive him.

It's appalling how her mum and dad drone on about being regular church goers and living their life right etc, etc, while all along they publicly forgave him and said that they did not see any reason why Coleen should finish with him (not that Coleen would have dared to anyway. There is no way she is going to step out of the media spotlight). So it's more than hypocritical of them to preach one thing and then do the opposite. It also annoys me that her family do not even have the decency to credit Wayne for Coleens media attention, instead preferring to assume that the public love Coleen for 'being normal' The same said family also have a habit of claiming they 'will never change' (why would they anyway? have they become famous? have they won the lottery?) when on the other hand they happily go on expensive holidays paid for by wayne and accept cars and other 'gifts' from him. Have they no shame? Also, Wayne has given a LOT of money to charity (My auntie is a nurse in Alder hey childrens hospital in Liverpool and I know for a fact he has been very generous to them) as well as to the hospice's,but did Coleen think to mention any of this in the documentary? No. She was far too busy trying to keep the limelight to herself. I'm not knocking the cause of the documentary, just the fact that for someone who spent £25,000 on bags to suddenly come across all appealing just does not ring true to me. If it is such a big cause to her, then why not donate some of the money from her dvd/book/magazine coloumn to the charity? I'll bet she hasn't.

As for the Posh thing. I am not a fan of posh but at least she earned her own money and was famous in her own right. She did not need to sponge off her man as she had her own money and was only too willing to work hard to get herself known. She also had her own determination to carry on working towards her own work goals instead of just spending every day shopping with her boyfriends money. Something Coleen knows nothing about.
