Coleen stocks up on crisps
December 1st, 2007 Wayne Rooney’s sportsman’s diet may be kicked into touch - after fiancee Coleen McLoughlin bought 28 bags of crisps.
The WAG ran up a £45.29 bill purely on junk food snacks - apart from a can of sweetcorn.
Coleen, 21, snapped up 12 packets of McCoy’s crisps, six cheese and onion, six bags of Quavers and two packs each of Walker’s roast chicken and prawn cocktail.
She also bought five fudge bars, two Rustlers chicken sandwiches, a pasty, Dairylea lunchables, a Bird’s Eye chicken and beef dinner, mineral water, a multi-pack of Red Bull - and a copy of Britain’s No1 The Sun.
Last night a customer at the Co-op store near her home in Prestbury, Cheshire, said: “I hope it’s not her weekly shop for Wayne because it didn’t seem like the ideal diet for a top sportsman.
“There wasn’t any fruit or fresh veg in sight. Her four bags were crammed with snacks.”
Coleen could have been stocking up for Manchester United and England star Wayne while she jetted off on New York shopping trip.
A customer who picked up the receipt she left behind said: “It was just lying on the counter so I thought I’d have a nosey.
“You always imagine someone with so much money would be buying champagne and fine foods but it was basic.”
