When I am ready to expand my items to markets that are further away I would like to hire someone to approach boutique owners on behalf of my company so that I am able to still have personal face to face service without the financial and time costs involved with leaving my work at home behind. For this type of position what type of comission is usually paid?

Does anyone have any experience either selling or hiring sales people and have info / words of advice?

thanks!

its a personal deal you strike with your 'sales department'
normally it could be anything from 2-5% depending on your products, your wholesale range and the 'commercial' value of your collection.
You should really hire someone as a sales consultant/director,
believe me this is not something one learn 'how to' at a forum
