^ I kind of agree, sayan, regarding Rei's and Yohji's menswear going round in a circle. I think Yohji was fresher this season, however. The rockabilly thing is old news I think and it's weird for Rei to be behind like that.

Yeah rei seems to be infatuated with London as of late...based on these pics, I can't say I'm thrilled. Not a fan of those print shirts, feel kind of gimmicky and Prada-ish...the styling with the jackets isn't that exciting either. The CdG Empire is 0 for 2 this season thus far. I'd still like to see more though.

im not sure of what im about to say, but..I think i heard or read that she never looks into other designers collections..i maybe wrong though, but that would explain the rockabillylatness, we need to see more before we can judge...I love rei too much to refuse what she gives me

It's probably shortsighted to call her on anything. She is the doyenne of modern fashion after all.
The work is always great in the boutiques if not entirely styled nicely on the runway. That is what counts after all. It seems she has covered this territory before and is simply expanding on it so it's more an evolutionary collection.

What is with the cowboy's "thing" aroung the neck:-P? The clothes are v. thin, very plain, strings inserted into back of coats, strange velvet aplications.

I have mixed fellings :-P, I mean I would def. wear the coats if I can afford them.

Anyway, some oversized coats and jkts tehre, too. But most surprises of all, Junya T prints from the army collections is, kind of "reprinted" on tshirts and even a coat. It's Evergreen, maybe? There are also other interpretation of bold stripe, which "runs" on suits of SS some years ago.

Mostly blk & white.

Lol Brian, you are from San Antinio so you would know what a bolo tie is. Really diggin the rockabilly look, like the fact that she paired them them with sneakers. Never liked bolo ties and still don't...
