Comme des Garcons S/S 2006 Paris

From what I see, It looks alot like the S/S Menswear collection (well, the line is called 'Like the Boys' en Francois)... they go together. I think the Ad campaigns should take place in a dingy factory;) .

Fat lady sings, eh?

Maybe Quentin Crisp will come out in his Queen Elizabeth getup from the film Orlando, wearing the final piece de resistance of the collection!

It's Rei...anything could happen.

True, baron.

It's not stunning is it? Maybe Ms. Kawakubo has a bobby dazzler in the bag yet though... (or maybe she has a Hot Licks jacket just for nqth ;) )

Oh do you know what I don't:-P Hope you are right, tho:-D

PoC.....you are a barrel of laughs tonight.....but enough already.

I am waiting to see the rest of the collection before I form a view. Unsure of the Brit theme..or is it a homage to westwood... i'll wait & see.

off topic, but i can actually SEE Quentin Crisp wearing whatever posted already,
j'adore a naked civil servant

But Comme very often made tartan, in all possible variations. The "twisted lump" or bag (or what ever it is called:-) is also their - remember the AW03 pilgrim collection?

I see more of VW shapes in JW show - when the model turns you can see the all the VW's "woman" shapes and diagonal cuts... And the short jkt with round, breast-exposing front...

it's all symbols and surface. but, it's a universal thing, it's like people all over the world needing to create a mythology like with the Undercover collection.

Absolutely agree. I think it's very very intresting, but I'm really obsessd with symbolism and mythology.

I think it looks fantastic!  ^_^ I really like the wraped/lumpy tops.

OMG it is a beautiful collection. I think it must be aroung the "twist" or "wrap" word.
Not a flat piece of fabric!

Military, and camouflage, of course:-P

christmas in london with the british royals?

i dont like it, not after the bridal stunner of fw05

rei is always interesting though..................

OK some more pics from catwalking.com. It seems to me like a bit of a William Wallace feel in some of the clothes! Maybe the theme is Scotland (wallace) vs England (Queen) (although of course it was a King Wallace fought against).

Anyway, I think some of it is truly breathtaking!
