MEDIA NEWS: CONDÉ NAST TO LAUNCH NEW ONLINE SHOPPING VENTURE

Stylefinder.com is the latest online project for UK-based CondéNet, the internet-based division from Condé Nast, due for launch on 8 March 2007. Globally, Condé Nast publishes 120 titles and 63 websites in 22 markets.

Clare Alstin, previously online marketing coordinator for fashion boutique Coco Ribbon, has been appointed as assistant editor for the new site.
The website will be an interactive shopping guide aimed at 15-45 year old women and is being marketed as the most comprehensive consumer website. It is expected to reach more than 13m women in its target market. Updated daily, the range of products will include fashion and beauty items from a mix of high street and designer names.

i am quite excited about this:woot:

ehh if it's anything like their other ventures - i think it may be terrible. Style.com shopping is mediocre and the coco ribbon website is really not that good. I can't get excited about this.

i know meg, style.com is actually dreadful and yeah coco ribbon not much better.. thats why i have some hope that they have learnt from their mistakes.. i mean they got access to everything literally and should by now come up with something great.
lets hope!

this has potential to be good...
i won't get my hopes up until i see the it though..

thanks for the info leyla :flower:

I hope it's good. Conde Nast is far too big of a company to be so...immodern, and not user-friendly. Im sure they would get more subscriptions if it were online, it's annoying to get paper-mail...It's OUT!!

It definitely has the potential to be a great resource - it all depends on the webdesign and how user friendly it is. They obviously have the resources to make it work.

Also, it depends on how they will drive traffic to the site. Ads on tfs? :D
