Costello Tagliapietra S/S 06 New York

This is very plain and boring in the design sense...but it has a beautiful, romantic, delicate femininity. I love the subdued tones and the way the clothing just drapes over the body. It's sexy

Quite boring but still very nice, simple, and wearable. The fabrics look very beautiful . Sadly this is the best i have seen from NY this season along with Rodarte.

I love this designer and I love the movement in this collection.

These dresses have no season, no period..can't imagine them getting "outdated"

LOVE this, maybe my fave from NY that far, i could seriously wear every single look posted here, its so fresh and modern with a minimal charm and the colours are fantastic , i so adore the total lack of embelishment

thanks spacemiu ;)

couldn't have said it better myself Lena  :flower:

I actually like the way the dresses look; however, I hate the colors...a lot. I wish there was a lot more color.

This collection is so pretty. I recently bought a vintage dress that looks very similar to the second pic on page 1.

I love Costello Tagliaietra, tho this is not my favorite collection

i disagree - i see distinct differences from previous collections, although the "vision" remains consistent. different necklines, for instance, and emphasis on different shapes. what some are seeing as boring, i see as...minimal! stripped down beauty.

Very boring. Very wearable, yes, but it's wearable not because it's genius, but because it's too simple and easy. Don't like that at all. Doesn't seem worthy of the "designed collection" nametag.

^yeah,I'd have to agree. Sorry, but much of it looks like stuff you could get at Banana Republic or something.

I just cannot get into this minimalistic schtick either.

it's really interesting, though - what makes something worthy of the "designed collection" nametag, i wonder? because as a female consumer, i know i want to wear clothes that are flatteringly cut, well put together, in fine fabrics, and that make me feel beautiful. i tend towards solids more than prints, and prefer watanabe, balenciaga and owens, to gucci, dior or ...somebody flashy.

does costello tagliapietra seem too simple?

I really like there stuff...although the first set of pics looked like they were from the Amish country:p
