I like half of it. The red, blue and purple dresses are a score.

And Gemma does not look good with that lipstick.

Almost half of my wardrobe is carefully accumulated Costume National as well as a number of shoes (including the black stacked-heels with the toe cut-outs that started it all), but this collection is going to end all that. This is godawful!!! Please bring back the clothes that make me look like the hip, intelligent but slightly intimidating girl that one nonetheless wants to hang out with!!!

Well, it’s not like he was riding on a wave of success in the first years of his career when he showed in Milan. It was not until he moved the show to Paris that he - with the support of the likes of Demeulemeester and Margiela - gained some recognition.

As for this collection I agree it’s far from being one of his strongest and I’m kind of missing some black. Furthermore he seems to go a little overboard with the belts and the styling (the make-up, in particular) is not exactly doing much for the clothes.

There is however quite a few nice items in the collection and I actually do have a soft spot for the paint splattered skirt. In addition to this there are a lot of beautiful details in the clothes which is more evident on the pictures on firstview than on the ones shown in this thread.

One thing I’m a bit worried about on behalf of Capasa is the absence of casual wear. I understand that he wants to move the casual business to C’N’C but it seems a bit dangerous to completely exclude it from the mainline. But I guess there’ll still be some casual wear in the stores come spring, in spite of what’s shown on the runway now…

It's a bit hit and miss for me. The first paint splattered skirt is horrendous. There are some lovely draped dresses though. The suede coats look a bit A/W to me.

I agree, it is all over the place and not really focused. Someone needs to hire a designer to revamp the collection...Soo much potential with the name being already out there, they just need to be taken to another level.
Right now, it looks like stuff I can get at HM, but HM would be better !

I don’t think Capasa will be stepping down in the near future…

After all, he did create the brand from nothing and still controls the company together with his brother.

i agree with adorefashion... i felt immediately transported to the 90s... back when career women needed the showy gaudy clothes to get noticed...not chic at all...just..ugh...
