my interpretation and about 3 other football experts including ex - international players, so im not exactly being subjective here. you're also from scotland right? turn on post match analysis on BBC1 - I'm really not the only person who dislikes Ronaldo right now.

I live in Germany, so I didn't get to hear any of the biased commentators from back home.

yeah-he winked at the other players after rooney got sent off (the commentators even suggested he had done it on purpose as he went to the ref) and was smirking at beckham before the match even started. then he tried to antagonise rooney before the match and even gary lineker got annoyed about that. Sorry, but I am an angry england fan right now and all I saw of him in that match was smugness, arrogance, and conceit.

i'm sorry, but there doesn't seem to be much about this guys style in this thread and from what i can see of it, it's not exactly Beckham - esque. I hate the fact that the World Cup seems to have spawned a million threads for footballers and their hangers on without much style.I'd like to ask the mods to re - think it.

Everything is subjective, and it's very hard to accurately read into the expressions and actions of players that were shown on screen for a split second.

Maybe the BBC commentators were blasting Cristiano, but here Rooney was the one who was being criticised. Even the least biased commentators can't help but let some of their emotions creep into their commentating, especially during such an important game. Everyone sees things differently, and its impossible not to get caught up in the spirit of the game whoever you barrack for.

I agree with you, though, Cristiano does have really bad personal style This is going to sound really weird but sometimes he reminds me of a Ken doll
