Cuff links

My guy friend says, "quite a few"...I know because I asked him this christmas! lol. there are different ones to go with different colours, etc...

Price range?

There is a ton of brands, and everyone will make them from time to time. Paul Smith is the first one who comes to mind, he always has something quircky.

And, personally, I love the rope cufflinks that you can always get at upscale dept. store for $10 a pair!!! They come in every color imaginable so they'll match to any shirt.

Know of any avant-garde cufflink makers, faust!?
Hmmm, that's a good one. I have never bothered to look, since I don't really wear shirts/suits/ties... Everyone will make something funky now and then. I've seen cool stuff from Raf Simons, Junya Watanabe, Paul Smith, Number (N)ine, but not from a cuff-link makers per se....

Maybe it's my market niche! "And here we have article 27, the screws and weld seams are exposed to show how the cufflink was made in the best traditions of constructivism, on the sterling silver bezel is set an artisanal hand-woven design on Japanese hoichoi lacquer, each piece is unique because we hire some old guy to whack it with a hammer before we sell it"

To the orig. poster Dunhill and Valentino do good classic cufflinks.

One of my favorite makers is Longmire of London. Their niche is really actually cufflinks. The stirrup link is very beautiful.

Also Mon Art is a maker as well as the aforementiond Dunhill.

Tiffany & Co has some in their Elsa Peretti line, and Cartier as well.

Any number of high end jewelry house would have excellent cufflinks.

Vivienne Westwood's diamante skulls cuff links are my favourites.
