Does anyone know which stores in London sell great (and inexpensive) wide cummerbund belts to wear around your waist over dresses etc? Topshop only seem to have a bright gold one and H&M has been fairly dissapointing. Any info will be appreciated! :flower:

I love this look too, I know I saw in a magazine a navy blue satin one from topshop. H&M and Topshop would be the only 2 shops I can think of that I have seen stock these so far this season, sorry!

yeah topshop had a satin one, but I think that was during the summer..dont know if they still sell them now though.

Yeah I saw the blue one from TopShop in Grazia magazine but haven't seen it in any stores! Its impossible to buy belts from the Oxford Street store as they tend to selll out in all the small sizes hours after they are put out! :(

It was about 2/3 weeks ago, saw it when flicking through my archives last night.

I bought some ribbon from John Lewis the other day so using that to dress up outfits but I'd like a leather one ideally so can't really make one of those! Well I probably could but don't think John Lewis sell leather do they? Only pleather I think. Plus sewing buckles on etc will take too long and just don't have the time for that!

Don't Jocasi do a range of cummerbund belts? They sell those at Topshop Oxford Circus.

I just got a black one from Miss Selfridge -it's leather and it ties almost like an obi (wraps around twice, one 'wide' section and a thinner section to tie on top). It's not brilliantly made, but is only £18 (I got it for £13 with Happy discount). That was on Saturday, so they should have some left. :flower:

I love that this is becoming a trend now...I have been wearing sashes around my midsection for a while!! J Crew had some really nice wide sashes a while back, for about 22 bucks.

ally, I just bought a leather belt to go around my waist from h&m for £15, I don't know if its close to what you're looking for but just thought id let you know

How about going to an actual mens outfitiers, and getting one in a childs size, theyll have loads of colours and styles.

make your own... it's just one piece of fabric and a few stitches(with some sort of closure)

kummerbund n. waist-band worn under tuxedo (really of Hindustani & Persian origin: kamar-band "loin-band")
